Support Bob Kominsky’s ALS needs - motorized wheelchair
Donation protected
If you’ve heard of Bobby Kominsky from Bridgeport, you’d know him for his amazing highschool sports career, constantly doing yard work or gardening and giving away everything he grew!
This was all taken away within the last year when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as ALS/ Lou Gehrig's disease) on October 14, 2024.
Unfortunately this disease is 100% fatal with a 2-5 year longevity after diagnosis. We’ve had the most amazing doctors and team at Ohio State University; but even with all the help in the world - his physical activity is worse and worse by the day. He can no longer just use a walker and the only means of being able to get around are a motorized wheelchair.
We have a power wheelchair ordered that has everything that he will need to help him through this diagnosis — including being able to be driven by his eyes (once he gets to that point) as all of his muscles are deteriorating by the day.
Thankfully insurance covered 90% of the power chair, but we are left with an out of pocket $4,500.
He will not be able to authorize ordering the chair until we pay this out of pocket in full.
Kominsky’s are not ones to ask or beg; but in this instance — I’m left with no choice, other than to do everything I can, as an only child, for my father!
If you’re unable to donate, please share - and more importantly, pray for a miracle for the ALS community ♥️
