My name is Bob Daughtry and I had an unfortunate accident on Monday, June 2nd that has changed my life. I was working as an elite driver for the last 3 years in Charleston for one of the daily service providers for Amazon. During my route, I had an oversized package that fell on my right foot. I made the mistake of trying to fight through the pain and finish my route. The next two days, I had to call out sick, which I had only done once in three years.
After going to the emergency room, they transferred me to the main hospital to see the vascular surgeon. They scheduled a surgery for the following morning and had to amputate my second, third, and fourth toes. Furthermore, four days later, they had to schedule another surgery to amputate my pinkie toe. I was in the hospital for 12 days. It has been a trying journey to walk with a walker and finally now just one crutch. I have a home health nurse that is coming to my house to change the wound vac dressing twice a week.
I really need financial help to get through these next 3 months. The worker’s compensation case I have against my employer is being dragged out because they denied my claim. I have a deposition on September 16, 2025, and hopefully, I will start to see money coming in from that. Right now, I have bills to pay and nothing coming in.
The GoFundMe goal is $11,000 and hopefully, you can give something to help me get through this very trying time in my life.
