This Go Fund Me page is being set up on behalf of Robert “Bob” Pilbro and his wife, Shari, of Southington, CT.
On Friday, January 7th 2021 Bob suffered a stroke while at work. He was able to safely pull over and call 911 to receive emergency care. He is currently hospitalized as a plan for his recovery is developed. That recovery process will likely be lengthy and will place an incredible financial burden on them. The most basic household expenses such as mortgage, utilities and groceries will be impossible to meet.
This past year has been financially and emotionally challenging for Bob and Shari. Shari was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in July and has been receiving cancer treatments, which led to her needing to drastically reduce her work hours in order to attend treatment appointments and deal with the side effects of those treatments. Bob has been her Knight in shining armor through all of this.
Bob is a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) mechanic with Johnson Controls, Inc. Bob is described by many of his friends and co-workers as “the guy who is always helping others”. Shari has been employed at BJs.
