Support Bluebird Bubble Tea’s Staff After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Hurricane Helene has devastated Asheville and the surrounding areas, severely damaging our once thriving small businesses culture. Many businesses, including our family owned business Bluebird Bubble Tea, will not have power or water for a month of more, which means we’ve lost not only our main source of income, but that of our employees. Even when we are able to reopen, it will be past peak tourist season, so many businesses will be unable to survive the slow winter season and afford to stay open into next year.
Our family business is located less than a mile from Biltmore Village, which was completely wiped out during the hurricane and will likely take years to rebuild and replenish the tourist traffic in that area. Our shop thankfully was physically untouched by the storm, (we only lost spoiled inventory due to the power being out for so long), however even when we are able to reopen in a few months, many residents will have left or have to recoup from the damages to their own property or loss of jobs, so the income for small businesses will likely be minimal.
We love and appreciate any donations made to help sustain our business and our employees while the shop is closed. Some of our employees have lost vehicles and are still without power, water, and income, so every bit helps!
Stay Strong Asheville!
