This year, our best friend and long-time roommate Blessing was diagnosed with Stage I Breast Cancer. This was quite shocking as she is only 25 with no history of Breast Cancer in her family.

Thankfully Blessing’s cancer is slow growing, but will still require several procedures, tests and treatments including a Lumpectomy and several weeks of radiation therapy.

As a self-supporting 25 year old with student loans, rent and other expenses (including being financially responsible for a family member,) this course of treatment will take a huge financial toll on Blessing. This is especially due to the fact that she will be unpaid during her time off to recover from surgery and attend appointments.

Blessing means the world to us and anyone who knows her knows that she truly is a blessing who lights up every room she walks in to. We want to support her as much as possible during this time, and are asking for contributions to help Blessing through treatment as well as to cover some post-surgery essentials while she is unable to work.

As of right now, Blessing plans to return to work only a couple days after surgery which is far from ideal for recovery. We want Blessing to be able to focus 100% on resting and healing during her battle with cancer, without the stress of a huge financial burden on her shoulders.
