“Update:
We are Deeply Grateful for everyone's Contributions and Prayers. Blessie  “Gift” is now making Tremendous Progress with her Speech Therapy and Will undergo further testing to ensure a full recovery. We are Thankful for the outpouring of prayers as she continues to improve and return to her vibrant self. This Remarkable journey would not be possible without the unwavering support and help from each and every one of you.”

-Blessie Angelou is a healthy, hardworking and studious 20 year-old young woman.Youngest in our family.Blessie, also known as Gift, is currently in college while supporting herself by working at a restaurant to obtain her nursing degree.

Two weeks after her 20th birthday, on May 6th, 2025 at 3am, Gift was found wandering in the house not in her usual state of mind. She looked confused, unable to speak and was vomiting. This prompted us to bring her to the emergency room and was then transported to another hospital via medical helicopter. She was then diagnosed with spontaneous left frontal intracerebral hemorrhage with associated edema and mild mass effect. She was admitted in the ICU to further observe her condition. She was evaluated by a neurointensitivist and neurosurgeon at Sentara Norfolk General to undergo various testings such as CT, MRI and angiograms but did not reveal any abnormalities. She was very well taken cared of in the hospital for a week which helped her slowly recover and improve her condition.
She was discharged from the hospital and was advised to continue her speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy treatments as well as to follow up with repeated imaging studies until the bleeding subsides.

As we navigate through this hurdle, we are reaching out for any financial assistance to help cover the mounting medical expenses, including hospital bills, hospital transportation expenses, therapy sessions, and medication, to ensure that Blessie receives the best possible care and support during her recovery.

Your generosity means alot to Blessie
"GIFT" and our family.
We have faith that everything will get better.
God is good all the time!
Thank you from the bottom of our heart for taking the time to read Blessie's story.

We appreciate every prayers and support that you all can give… ❤️

This Fund me account was established to support my sister “Gift”…all contributions will go directly to her account to sustain her needs for a faster recovery. Thank you so much
