Our community has always been known for showing up for one another — in moments of celebration and especially during difficult times. Blaze, a seventh grader at Matawan Aberdeen Middle School, was recently involved in a serious accident while riding his bike in Matawan, New Jersey. The incident remains under investigation. He suffered significant injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center, where he spent time on a ventilator. While Blaze has made encouraging progress and is now off the ventilator, he remains in critical condition and faces a long road to recovery.

This fundraiser was created to help support Blaze during his recovery and help ease the overwhelming medical and related expenses during this difficult time. Throughout this unimaginable time, Blaze’s mom has remained constantly by his side, focused entirely on helping her son heal. The emotional and financial burden of this tragedy is overwhelming, and the medical expenses and future care needs continue to grow. We hope to help ease some of that burden so Blaze’s family can focus on being by his side throughout his recovery.
