I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my little brother, Blayne Brown, who is in stable condition, but his leg will definitely need more work and rehabilitation just to get back to normal. His parents have health insurance, but it's not great at all. He's still looking at about $19,000 in medical bills just for everything that's already been done, not including future surgery or rehab. I really debated on starting this as we usually figure things out ourselves and don't like to ask for help, but with this terrible accident happening, I don't want any more stress on them than they already have. All donations will go straight to medical bills and we will provide updates as soon as we have any. I want to thank everybody that takes time out of their day to read this and also thank all our family, friends that come to help Blayne, and I'd especially like to thank the strangers and first responders down at the beach that didn't hesitate to jump in to stop the bleeding and wrap Blayne's leg immediately after it happened. This is a traumatizing event for him but if it wasn't for you amazing people it could have been a lot worse, so we are extremely grateful and thankful.

As you may have seen on the news, a family member, Blayne Brown, was vacationing with family when he was bitten by a bull shark. An ambulance rushed him to the hospital.
His foot and calf were bit. Chunks of his calf were bitten.
He had to have surgery and then a specialist was called in because it was worse than first thought.
He was confined to the hospital for several days.
He will be bed bound for a couple weeks and will need to see an orthopedic surgeon for a potential second surgery and most likely physical therapy.
Yes, they have health insurance - however, it's not good insurance even though it’s very expensive monthly - but if it’s out of network, it may cost more than expected.
In network OOP is $18,200.
And we aren’t even sure if the hospital and doctors are even in network.
We know they’ll start getting bills of thousands of dollars.
Any help is appreciated. All funds will go to his medical bills.
