Hi, I’m Felix Lilly, and I’m reaching out today because of a powerful experience I had in Chinatown here in Portland. On a cold morning, I walked through the neighborhood and saw firsthand how many of our houseless neighbors are struggling just to stay warm and survive another day. People were huddled in blankets against the freezing air, and I even saw small trash-can fires lit for warmth.

During that walk, I found myself at Blanchet House, where I was served a warm meal with kindness and dignity at a moment when life has been challenging for me as well. I am not currently on food assistance, and receiving support that morning reminded me how vital places like Blanchet House are—not only for food, but for hope.

That moment changed something in me. It inspired me to give back so that others can feel the same warmth, dignity, and humanity that I felt. Now, I’m inviting you to join me.
