Hi, my name is Maeghan Egli, and I’m asking for help for my brother-in-law, Blake.
Blake, his fiancée, and their 20-month-old daughter. They just got back from a family trip to Florida over Thanksgiving week and while they were there, Blake noticed his left leg was swollen. By the time they got home to Oregon, it had gotten so bad he had to go to the ER.
At first, doctors found a large blood clot in his leg. But when they did more scans, they discovered something none of us were prepared for—a large mass in his colon and several more on his liver. A biopsy of the masses was performed and the results showed what all the doctors suspected —Adenocarcinoma. Blake’s diagnosis is metastatic colorectal cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes and Liver. They’re moving fast—Blake is getting a port placed on 12/4 so they can start treatment right away.
Blake is the only provider for his family. His little girl is blind and needs full-time care from her mom, so Blake’s income is what keeps them going. Now, with him out of work and facing a long fight ahead, this family is staring down overwhelming medical bills, living expenses and daily expenses they simply can’t cover.
We’re asking for any help—donations, gift cards for essentials, prayers, anything you can do. Every bit matters and will make a huge difference for Blake, his fiancée, and their sweet daughter during this unimaginable time.
Thank you for reading and for caring.
