Support Blakely's Fight Against Neuroblastoma

A few days ago, our best friends Jay and Nicole received the news no parent is ever prepared to hear — their 3½-year-old daughter, Blakely, has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

Blakely is the happiest, sweetest little girl who should be spending her days playing, laughing, and keeping up with her big sister Maddie (5). Instead, her family is now stepping into an 18-month journey filled with hospital stays, treatments, uncertainty, and countless trips back and forth to the hospital.

Over the coming months, Blakely will need frequent inpatient treatments, many lasting 5–7 nights or longer at a time. This means Jay and Nicole will be spending long stretches living out of hospital rooms while trying to keep life as normal as possible for Maddie at home.

Jay is a school teacher and Nicole works from home in technology implementation. Like most families, they built their life around two incomes. Now they are facing the very real possibility of becoming a one-income household so one parent can be with Blakely during her hospital stays and recovery.

And while their focus should be completely on helping their little girl fight cancer, the reality is that medical bills, travel, lost income, childcare, and everyday living expenses are about to stack up quickly — along with the uncertainty of how long this season will last.

This family would never ask for help themselves. They are the ones who show up for others, who love deeply, and who would do anything for their girls.

Right now, they need a community to show up for them.

Your support will help ease the financial burden so Jay and Nicole can focus on what matters most:
• Being present during treatments and hospital stays
• Keeping their home stable during this uncertain time
• Caring for Maddie while Blakely fights
• Covering medical, travel, and daily living expenses over the next 18 months

Most of all, it gives them the priceless gift of time and peace of mind while they walk through the hardest season of their lives.

If you can give, thank you.
If you can share, thank you.
If you can pray, please do.

Let’s surround the Wood family with love and support as Blakely begins her fight.
