With unimaginable heartbreak, I share that our sweet daughter, Blakely Mae, passed away in the early hours of May 27 after a courageous fight in the NICU. Despite emergency efforts, her little body couldn’t keep going—and I held her in my arms for hours after she took her last breath.
Blakely brought more love into our lives than we ever thought possible. She fought through surgeries and touched the hearts of everyone who cared for her. I never expected this to be the way our story would end. We had dreams of bringing her home—but instead, we are now preparing to lay her to rest.
This GoFundMe was originally created to support our family during our stay in Colorado while Blakely was in the NICU. Now, we are humbly asking for support as we navigate the unexpected costs of funeral arrangements, travel, and time away from work as we grieve.
