Support Blaire recovering from a car accident and surgery

Hi all,

if you don't already know me I'm Blaire, I live in Seattle and work in live music (which I love with all my heart). I love spending time with my friends and partners, especially at concerts, I love my lil pup Jelly Bean, and last week I got hit by a car. I've thought about what I want to say for almost a week and keep coming up short. Last Monday 5/20 I was on a Lime scooter headed to meet some friends and I was hit by a car. It doesn't get easier no matter how many times I say or type it. On top of trauma I've been left with a broken knee, and am having urgent surgery on 5/30! On top of THAT I just found out that my car was ALSO hit by a car a few nights ago, and the driver was uninsured. All that to say, it's been rough...

Back to my injury - I'm facing at least six weeks of recovery before I can even put weight on my foot, and I don't know how soon after that I'll be able to return to my active and physical jobs. If you know anything about me you know that I regularly work between three and four jobs, bouncing between stagehand and security at a couple different Seattle music venues. I doubt I'll be able to jump full speed into that work right after the six weeks is up. I'm hoping to gather enough aid to pay my rent/bills and support myself for a couple of months as I recover and ease myself back into work. I will also be doing regular physical therapy for a while which will further inhibit my work schedule.
