Support Blain Hall during his battle with cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts my name is Danella Hall. I am the oldest child of Blain Hall and I’m coming to you to ask for help for my dad and our family.
Blain was first diagnosed with stage IV Metastatic Melanoma Skin Cancer in May 2022. Since that initial diagnosis he has had many doctor appointments, monthly treatments, and 3 surgeries to remove cancer in different parts of his body.
This summer, we were under the impression that we were at the tail end of his cancer journey, and to the point that his treatments were close to being over. Unfortunately, this is not the case, and my dad continues to battle for his life.
On August 15th, 2023 Blain was experiencing concerning symptoms including blurred vision and slurred speech that prompted him to go to the ER, where we learned the cancer spread once again. It was determined that there is a mass located in the left temporal lobe of his brain. His oncologist and neurologist have determined my dad will need to undergo surgery to remove the mass from his brain, followed by radiation treatments.
Due to the severity of his condition my dad is unable to continue working and attend to his basic day-to-day life activities. Financial hardship is imminent for my dad. His wife Laura works full-time, her income alone is not enough to pay their bills, afford basic life necessities, support two teenagers, AND the added financial strain of getting to numerous medical appointments. Laura’s income is likely to fall short with her need to miss work to support my dad.
The road ahead of my dad and our family is going to be the most difficult and scariest thing we have ever had to face, and so we come to you today to ask for your financial support during this time. Any proceeds will go towards helping with medical expenses, ensuring he gets the best treatment available, and helping with family expenses such as monthly bills, food and lodging for his wife and children while he is in the hospital recovering, and other living expenses.
Blain is a member of the Kiowa Tribe and a descendent of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe. He is a beloved member of his community, always helping others that are in need. Before this recent diagnosis he enjoyed owning a food truck with his wife Laura and coaching local boy’s and girls’ basketball teams. His illness will prevent his ability to do a lot of the things he loves. He is staying positive and continuing to fight in good spirits.
Our family thanks you for taking the time to read his truth. We thank you for anything you can contribute, prayers are also very necessary and we pray for many blessings for you in return. If you prefer to stop by and help dad in person, that is equally appreciated.
