Crazyhouse Fabrications is a small blacksmithing and fabrication business based in Chatham-Kent, ON. Through blacksmithing and casting demonstrations, hands-on classes, and handmade products, we share traditional skills and crafts with people of all ages in the local community.

We also organize Duncan's Faire, our annual historical faire, bringing people together to enjoy history, crafts, and community.

We want to keep these activities going and make sure we have a solid foundation to support them. To help us do that, we're working toward establishing Crazyhouse Fabrications as a not-for-profit organization.

Our first goal is $300 toward the initial filing and administrative costs involved in establishing a not-for-profit structure. That step will help us better convey our values as a community-focused organization and open up many opportunities for outreach and funding.

UPDATE 2026/10/15: FIRST GOAL REACHED!

Our next goal will be to raise another $200 to put towards essential tool repair. ️ We're in need of a new crucible since the last one recently met an unfortunate demise. Think we can reach $500?

Once we reach that next milestone, we'll work toward other practical improvements that support what we do:

Emergency Fund: If we can raise this, unexpected equipment breakdown won't be a complete show-stopper. (AKA don't-cry-over-spilt-refractory funds)
Advertising: We've heard it over and over: People don't know about us and didn't hear about the faire until it was over. A bit of funding will help more people discover our blacksmithing activities, classes, and events through online and print advertising (not to mention that pesky yearly website hosting fee)
Duncan's Faire: Our most ambitious goal -- contributing toward the supplies, signage, and other costs involved in putting on our annual historical faire.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us work toward these goals. We'll share updates as we reach milestones and make progress.

Can't donate right now? Sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and anyone who loves blacksmithing, traditional crafts, or local history is a big help, too.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Crazyhouse Fabrications and Duncan's Faire. You are helping us keep traditional skills and craftsmanship alive in Ontario!
