My name is Jhori, and I'm a Black trans person from Chicago. After visiting Washington, DC for a much needed mental break, my car was stolen while I was delivering for Doordash. While I have been in DC, I've been using my car to Doordash as way to sustain myself until I start my new job back home in Chicago. Fortunately my car was recovered, but it was damaged and I have to pay a deductible of $2000 which I cannot afford whatsoever. I start my new job March 7, and it's imperative that I have the funds to pay my deductible to fix my car and be able to return home by then.

As you can see by the goal, I asked for more than the cost of my deductible; this year I am looking to get top surgery and I'd like to use this platform to get help with paying for it. I asked for $17,000 which means that the rest of the $15,000 will be for the cost of surgery. The remainder that I won't be using to pay for the cost of the surgery itself will be used to pay for my healing expenses, being that I will have to take 6 weeks off from my job during that time. I won't have a set care taker and most likely will have to heal alone, and the funds will be essential to me healing properly.
