Hello, we are the Black Rose Tattoo Club, a small, artist-owned tattoo shop built on hard work, community, and creative passion here in Vancouver Washington.

We’ve always believed in and maintained a welcoming, loving, and professional environment for everyone — artists, clients, and neighbors — treated people with respect and provided top notch tattooing to anyone who enters our doors.

In March of 2025, our world turned upside down.

An incident taking place outside of our shop led to a chaotic and wrongful police response.

Our owners Rob and Matt were detained and accused of crimes they did not commit, following a confusing scene involving a severely intoxicated and extremely violent individual who was actively trying to assault multiple people and rob businesses in the neighborhood.

Our shop is everything to us, and a staple in the Rosemere neighborhood where we’ve built careers, lifelong friendships and maintain an active role as a positive beacon in the community.

The results of all of this has been months of lost income, emotional and mental stress, massive legal fees, and damage to not only our reputation but the shops as well.

We are fighting for justice — not just for Rob and Matt, but for our families our friends and our business which have all been thrown into a terrible situation.
