Support black lune farms in our land transition

Donation protected
In gratitude for this full moon in Aquarius, and in deep reverence of the legacies of Black resistance this Black August, we are launching a fundraiser as black lune farms. We are a multiracial, majority Black, queer collective who has been living on and tending to a small farm near Charlottesville, VA. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been growing summer crops and medicinal herbs to distribute for mutual aid to communities of color in Richmond and other surrounding counties. We have a vision of freeing the land through making farm work more accessible to folks who have been alienated from it, and learning from & continuing the Black and Indigenous histories of community care and resistance through agriculture on this stolen land.

Unfortunately, our stability on this farmland has been threatened, as the landowners are now looking to sell this house and its land. This news comes as a surprise and disappointment as we have worked hard to develop an interdependent relationship with this beautiful land and the Spirits and ancestors that move through her. Furthermore, we will not be able to fully harvest our crops given their timeline, so we are looking to get a head start in preparing farmland and building a greenhouse for next season. We are starting by fundraising $10K to support our search for new farmland in VA, and our transitional needs in the meantime, including our moving costs (moving our farming tools, seeds, & infrastructure; relocating our animals and transplanting some crops/herbs; and moving our personal belongings) and our start-up costs at our (undetermined) new location. Anything you can contribute helps as we seek housing stability & safety in this turbulent time, and will help see us through to continue our mutual aid endeavors.

Thank you for your support -- sending peace & blessings for your abundance & safety, may your new moon aspirations and manifestations reveal themselves soon <3
