The Black Hills Lacrosse family is facing an unexpected setback just as we prepare for another season of providing opportunities, teamwork, and growth for young athletes in the Rapid City area.

Recently, our equipment trailer was stolen, taking with it much of the gear our program depends on to operate. Years of investment, fundraising, and community support disappeared overnight. The stolen equipment included essential items needed for practices, games, tournaments, and player development.

For many of our athletes, Black Hills Lacrosse is more than just a sport. It is a place to build confidence, learn discipline, develop leadership skills, and form lifelong friendships. Our program serves young players throughout the Black Hills region and provides opportunities for children and families who are passionate about the game.

The timing could not be worse. With the upcoming season quickly approaching, we are now faced with the challenge of replacing critical equipment so our players can take the field. Without immediate support, the theft will impact our ability to provide a safe and successful season for every athlete in our program.

We are asking our community, alumni, families, local businesses, and supporters of youth sports to help us raise $20,000 to replace the stolen equipment and get our program back on track.

Your donation will help replace:

Team equipment and practice gear

Goals, nets, and field equipment

Player development and training supplies

Game-day equipment

Transportation and trailer-related losses

Other essential items required to operate the program

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.

If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, coworkers, and local businesses. The more people who hear our story, the faster we can recover.

Black Hills Lacrosse has always been built by a strong and supportive community. While this theft has created a significant challenge, we are confident that together we can overcome it and ensure our athletes have the season they deserve.

Thank you for standing with Black Hills Lacrosse and helping us turn this setback into a story of resilience, generosity, and community strength.

From all of our coaches, players, and families: thank you for your support.
