I've been able to do BJU Study Abroad, a program designed as an academic immersion experience focused on the biblically informed care of vulnerable children, women, and families.
I will have the chance to engage directly with the Guatemalan community, participate in essential ministries addressing orphan care and combating sex trafficking, and serve as a mentor at trauma-informed camps for at-risk children. Additionally, I will attend workshops led by experts in the field, gaining invaluable insights that will enhance my understanding of social services in a global context.
