My name is BJ. I am a hard working Gen X-er (7 days a week, two jobs, and teaches) that has hit a snag in the road. This past weekend I was in an accident. My only vehicle crushed. I just had it maybe a month. My insurance only covers liability, so I am out of a car. I had saved up to buy , insure, tag, and title this car and now I have to start from scratch. Having no health insurance due to fact that "I make too much" by public service standards, but don't make enough to make payments to have insurance. Other things are more prioritized like having a place to live, utilities, and food. I don't live beyond my means and I hustle with crafty side gigs, but life throws you curves and sometimes you have to face the embarrassment, endless questions, and humiliation and ask for help. So here I am feeling dehumanized and stupid and asking for your help.
