For more than 70 years, BJ’s has been a part of Florissant and the North County community. We have been honored to serve generations of families, and we are deeply grateful for the love, loyalty, and support you have shown us throughout the years.
It’s no secret that we have been struggling to keep our heads above water for the past several years. Customer revenue never fully recovered after COVID, and like many small businesses, we have faced rising costs, unexpected expenses, and the ongoing upkeep of a building that is more than 100 years old. Despite our best efforts, it has become increasingly difficult to keep going.
Making the decision to close has been heartbreaking for our family. We love this community—past, present, and future—and words cannot express how much we will miss seeing all of you and being a part of your lives.
As difficult as it is to ask for help, we feel it is the right thing to do. If BJ’s has ever held a special place in your heart, we humbly ask for your support as we bring this chapter to a close.
Donations made to this GoFundMe will help us take care of our dedicated employees, many of whom have been with us through years of challenges and successes. They will also help us meet our remaining financial obligations so that we can close our doors with dignity and do right by the people who helped make BJ’s what it is.
My mom has poured her heart, soul, and personal resources into keeping BJ’s alive because she believed in this business and the community it serves. She has spent decades serving others and sacrificing for this restaurant. After so many years of hard work and dedication, now she has the opportunity to enjoy her retirement and the next chapter of her life.
This is one of the hardest decisions our family has ever had to make. While we are saying goodbye to BJ’s bat and pizza, we will forever cherish the memories, friendships, and support that have carried us through more than 70 years in business.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our story.
With love and appreciation,
The BJ’s Family
