Support BJ Neltner's Journey to a New Liver
Donation protected
Update: Bj was very sick when we came to the hospital on Wednesday to start his evaluation. He made it to the first appointment which was lab. They drew blood and after that he couldn’t stand up without passing out. They took him straight to the ER. From there he was admitted to the hospital with the flu and pneumonia. He is still in the hospital very sick. The lady from the financial office came in this afternoon and informed us that his copay for inpatient with his insurance is $395 a day. We were totally unprepared for this! We have to get this taken care of so that they will take him for a liver transplant. He is still inpatient and we’re not sure how much longer he will be in here. He is still very sick. Any help is appreciated. Please share this and keep Bj in your prayers.
This is my son, BJ Neltner. He had a liver transplant at the age of one. Now, 36 years later, he is in need of a new liver. He is scheduled for an evaluation February 12-14 at UAB Alabama. We are hopeful that this evaluation will result in getting him placed on the waiting list.
Unfortunately, due to family illness and injury, we are not able to make this trip without some help with finances. If you can help, we appreciate it very much. If you aren’t able to contribute, please share. Thank you all.
