In Sri Lanka, family and community are everything. I’ve been welcomed into a home where three generations—Bivon’s grandfather, father, and mother—have dedicated their lives to his future. Their dream is simple: to give their incredibly gifted 11-year-old son access to an international education where his talents can flourish.

Bivon isn’t just a bright student—he’s a creative force. I’ve watched him compose music, drum, sing, rap, and even build model cars. Right now, he’s teaching me Sinhala while I teach him English. But the reality is, his current school isn’t challenging him. He needs a learning environment that nurtures his creativity and intellect.

Why This Matters More Than Ever

Sri Lanka is still recovering from an economic crisis that pushed nearly one-third of the population—7 million people—into poverty. Many families struggle to afford even basic necessities, with some surviving on less than $2 per day. This economic instability has forced many bright children into underfunded schools that don’t offer the opportunities they deserve. Bivon’s family is doing everything they can to break this cycle—but they need our help.

The Goal

The cost of sending Bivon to an international school, including tuition, transportation, uniforms, and supplies, is around 1,000,000 LKR ($3,250 USD) for the first year. I’ve already committed 180,000 LKR ($585 USD), and now I’m asking for your support to raise the remaining 820,000 LKR ($2,665 USD).
