Hi there. My name is Eden and I'm a newly-graduated college student looking to raise funds for my emotional support cat's teeth surgery. Biscuit is a 6 year old domestic short hair whom I've had for 5 years. He's a silly guy who enjoys lounging with me, harassing my parents' cats, and purring almost 24/7. Back in March, Biscuit was diagnosed with diabetes and put on treatment. The cost of his diagnosis and medication wiped out the savings I had accumulated before and during college, and due to other expenses, I have not been able to rebuild. Two weeks ago, I noticed what looked like some sort of gum or tooth issue on his right side.
After visiting the vet, they explained that his diabetes more than likely contributed to dental disease and that after inspecting his mouth he needs a cleaning, treatment for possible infections, and possibly some extractions depending on the severity of the problem. Below is the break down of the treatment plan and possible cost.
Since I only work part time and am not able to get a better job until my diploma and transcripts have arrived, I do not qualify for CareCredit and ScratchPay. While with time I could pay for this on my own, I don't have time. The longer he goes with the problem, the worse and more expensive it will be and the worse the risk to his long term health is. This concern for his health is what brings me here. This cat means the world to me and I cannot imagine losing him. I made the goal $2,000 to cover the highest estimate, with any extra money going directly to savings or other costs associated with the procedure. Thank you so much for reading this far and have some pictures of my little guy as a thanks!
