Hi dear ones ,, sad news

I recently found out that Birdy has a cancerous tumor on her side. The vet is recommending it be removed as soon as possible for a price that is way beyond my budget.

While I of course want to give her the best care that I can, I sat on the decision for a week. I think it was important for me to feel through all the feelings and make a decision from a more grounded headspace.

But also, I needed to grasp the reality of her diagnosis to understand if the expense even made sense. The good news is that it does. They believe that post-surgery she is likely to be cancer-free.

So, now I have a couple months to save up the funds!
