I am checking in to let you know of some things going on with my sister, Ida (Bird) Brown. Last Saturday, she fell and fractured her tibia and fibula of her left leg. She had surgery on Sunday. Yesterday, she was released to a rehab facility in Warsaw, MO. She is in good spirits with minimal pain. No weight on that leg for 10 weeks.

We are not sure how long the rehab will take, but when she comes home, she will need a wheelchair ramp to get her into the house. We are talking with a local person about building one, and he is estimating a minimum of $3500. We are also checking with some local organizations for help with building and funding.

I am setting up this page to let folks know, and seek some funds should you feel led to give. Any donation would be appreciated!
