Support Birdie's Recovery: Prevent Amputation
Donation protected
Thank you for viewing our gofundme page for Ms. Birdie.
Our sweet girl was recently injured during a trail walk with her brother Bear.
She dislocated her elbow severely requiring a procedure of resetting the bone and a spica cast. With this severity the doctors were nervous that her bone will keep dislocating itself due to the ligaments, tendons and her age.. and the next option will be amputation. (Which is something we don't want to do-leaving that as the last option.)
The cast is required for changing once a week. The 1st procedure completed was $1600, with a change of cast weekly at $250-300. Monday night we went to get her second cast changed and found out the fearful news that her elbow was dislocated again with the cast failing and now required another reset with sedation.. and starting the entire process again. We sadly did not have all the funds(another $1600) to start the entire process again , and had to come to the tough decision of just recasting her arm while looking for financial assistance.. I have spoke with the doctor for an estimate for the amputation and that is roughly looking at $8,000.
We are currently looking at foundations that help in these types of situations around upon looking for side work.
This has come at a difficult time due
Tias and I working seasonal change causing housing and jobs to end. Our financial means that have been going towards the move to head south, they are now going towards her care.
This has been a shift we are putting our means to and decided to reach out for some help. Both Tia and I are hard workers, never wanting or thinking of reaching out or creating a 'gofund' page.. but times our wild and our baby girl is in pain. Luckily the pet hospital has been amazing and helpful, they just can't do anything further... so here where you all come in!
We're both creators and hard workers and well return our love to you TENFOLD(open to gigs, and help where we can)
Infinite love to you all, and thank you from our eternal hearts for taking a moment to read about our sweet girl and her much needed care.
