Hi, my name is Nikki and I created this GoFundMe for Bird and Chris.

On Sunday, November 16th, 2025, in downtown LA, both of them were walking from a local music venue and Bird was attacked by a random person. He punched her in the face and began choking her. She immediately blacked out upon impact and lack of oxygen, and her partner Chris intervened to stop him. During the interaction, he tried to fight back and continuously tried to choke Bird again. The encounter left Chris with a broken right hand, and Bird with damage to her vocal cords, windpipe, scratches on her neck, and a black eye.

They both have been evaluated by medical professionals and x-rays were conducted. The hospital let both of them know that Chris may need surgery on his right hand and he will definitely need to see an orthopedic specialist.

Bird is a local tattoo artist in Downtown LA and Chris works in the service industry. They do not have insurance and the cost of surgery, specialist appointments, and rehabilitation can add up over time.

This unfortunate and traumatic event has left both of them with limited capacity to work due to their injuries.

I am hoping to raise funds to help with medical expenses, future medical specialist appointments, and aid while they both recover.
