Saturday, August 16th, we took Binx in for what was supposed to be a routine exam with a concern that he had been losing weight rapidly. We got the diagnosis that our sweet kitty has diabetes. Less than 24 hours later, our sweet kitty is hospitalized for what they thought was an infection at first. Turns out, our kitty has developed pancreatitis due to his diabetes. He is still in the hospital as of 8/19.
Binx’s hospitalization aside, when he is released, there is still the matter of starting up his diabetic care. He will need prescription diet food, at least two blood sugar monitors, and insulin—all of which will cost us a pretty penny—a penny that we don’t have.
Since March, our savings account has been completely depleted due to medical bills and caring for a baby who made their arrival extremely early and we have been unable to build it back up. If you know me, you know that it is hard for me to ask for help, especially financially. If you know Kameron and I, then you know that our animals are our world and we would do anything for them. He means the world to us and we would be extremely grateful for anything you could spare to help our sweet boy get the care he needs.
