Hello and thank you for hearing my final plea:
For those who don’t know me, I’m Binky a Bay Area born and raised local.

Digital panhandling has become a consistent part time job for the past two decades of my life. If you are unsure of why this would happen to someone with no criminal history, no history of additions, who volunteers and lives to information share, please watch this video from the series I’m a Virgo by Boots Riley (Video). No shade to those who have been caught up in the system, capitalism is to profit from all our loss.

Born with a physical birth defect that causes mobility issues and pain, it required multiple surgeries, durable medical equipment I can’t afford and the ability to customize my own shoes in order to walk without pain. In 2019 I became disabled in my shoulder while working for the library. That dramatically reduced my ability to work, since all I had was a high school diploma and blue collar labor was all I had known.

I began a 5 year long journey to attain a college degree in order to elevate my socio-economic status. Since 2023 I was diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disabilities, an autoimmune condition and finally cancer, which I still require treatment for.
During this time I was able to raise my child as a single parent living on roughly between 135 - 170% below the poverty level, graduated from UC Berkeley in Spring of 2025, watched my child graduate from high school and begin at a UC away from home.

Now dependent on big pharma for the rest of my life, thanks to a full thyroidectomy, which did not get rid of all the cancer, my unemployment ran out, my food stamps were cut off and I have no source of income of way to pay rent for January.
Multiple disabilities have made transportation by car essential as my body is having a harder time managing normal daily tasks.

Thanks to the Women’s Cancer Resource Center I have been able to slowly get back on medical insurance and hopefully can restart treatment next year, however without a way to pay for January rent, I will be lawfully evicted (much to the slumlord’s delight). It’s been a decade long battle to remain housed and never in safe or legal living conditions. For just a couple issues with the property please see these videos (YouTube1 , YouTube2, YouTube3)

Currently I need:
- $2000 for January rent
- $5000 to repair my vehicle which is leaking steering fluid, oil and the check engine light has been on for weeks, the whole vehicle shakes if I go over 60mph
- $3000 for 2 surgeries on my 13 year old dog’s ear due to an ongoing hematoma
- $800 to pay the tax fee to start an LLC so I can legitimately bring in more income
-

I’ve been a statistic my whole life and all I want to do is elevate others, offer accessible information to marginalized folks and generally support those on the margins.
After being accepted into SJSU Master’s program, I am needing to withdraw to avoid academic probation while trying to restart care and find income that works with my limitations.

While I am still capable, I will be offering cyber security tips and African American histories and futures with ’the_bipocalypse.’

With deep gratitude
