Hello My Name is Valentina and I’m asking for help to raise money for my boy Billy’s upcoming medical expenses.

In the recent months Billy started showing signs of pain in his neck. He was walking with a lot of caution, holding his head down, some light muscle spasms. I have taken him to vet a couple of times with these symptoms and with some rest and medicine he was able to recover. However in the last two weeks he started showing the same symptoms, but has progressively started to get worse. This being so his Vet strongly recommended to take him to a Neurologist. We went this week and they did some various physical tests. He showed good response in his limbs, but where he showed most difficulty moving was around his neck. The doctor explained most likely he has a herniated disk, something that is very common in French bulldogs unfortunately. To properly diagnose he would need an MRI, but they are very confident that that would be the diagnosis and would then require surgery.

I am unfortunately not in the position right now to go through with that immediately as the cost is grand. For now he is being put on strict crate rest for a couple of weeks and a strong medicine regimen. Hoping that his status doesn’t continue to worsen quickly I am hoping to come up with enough to cover the costs that the procedure requires. I have been quoted between $12,500 to $14,500 for the MRI and Surgery included. Asking for help is something that I find difficult to do, but being that it is for my Billy I would truly appreciate any help at all. He is very special to me and I could not imagine my life without him in it.
