Anyone who knows Bill will likely recall when they first met him. He would have made an impression on you with his towering 6’6” stature and Brooklyn accent. But as soon as he began talking, you knew he was kind, and his laugh made any concerns you had disappear. He understood the impression he made on you, and he knew how to quickly put you at ease with a warm greeting and a joke. He knew the value of helping people, and he excelled at helping his clients and colleagues throughout his career as a surety professional. Bill selflessly served as an advocate for the surety product throughout his career, during which he was elected President of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers.

Our kind friend Bill, who once seemed bigger than life, is now in the biggest battle of his life. His wife, Florence, battles daily to deal with the aftermath of several strokes that Bill has suffered from over the last two years. Bill’s early-stage dementia has also added to the difficulty of taking care of him. He now requires long-term care morning and night, and Florence is dealing with the costs of Bill’s large medical bills not covered by insurance as well as the normal day-to-day costs to survive.
