After a freak accident in August that resulted in a broken ankle and complications from the initial surgery, Bill is facing another round of surgery and an extensive rehabilitation. Given the type of injury and the 6-month anticipated recovery time, Bill is unable to continue working as a commercial truck driver for the foreseeable future. Given recent cuts to ACA subsidies, Bill will also be without insurance starting in January 2026.
