Support Bill's Memphis pilgrimage
Fans of young Bendigo Bluesman Bill Barber will know that he won a chance to represent Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society and Victoria's larger Blues scene, at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis this coming January. It's an expensive trip for a young fella making his first international sojourn so, for those who missed out on contributing to Bill's fundraisers held in Bendigo and Melbourne respecitvely back in October, here's your chance to chip in to make sure he has some spending money and/or contingency money in case something goes pear-shaped.
Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival Inc. is kicking off this little campaign with a donation of $500 by way of a 'thank you' to Bill for all the excitement he's injected into Bendigo's music scene over the last few years and for all the work he's put in as a volunteer contributor to our festival's events (particularly through the Youth Stages Bill runs on Festival weekend each year).
If you'd like to chip in as well, no matter how much or how little, we know Bill will appreciate it. He's a humble young man, as gracious as he is talented. We wish him well on his travels, both now and into the future.
