My youngest son, Bill, has been bravely fighting Chronic Myeloid Leukemia since July 7, 2011. Over the years, he has shown incredible strength and resilience, but this past year has been especially difficult. His condition has worsened, and he has missed a lot of work as a result. The impact on our family has been profound, both emotionally and financially, as we do our best to support Bill through this challenging time.

Bill’s treatment requires frequent trips from our home in West Texas to the City of Hope in Los Angeles, California. The costs of transportation, gas, lodging, and food quickly add up, making each visit a significant financial burden. On top of that, with Bill getting sick more often, his mother has become the sole provider for our household. The stress of keeping up with housing expenses and daily bills has been overwhelming, but we remain hopeful and determined to get Bill the care he needs.
