Hello. My name is Haley. I am the oldest daughter of Bill's two girls. My dad and I have always had a strong relationship for as long as I can remember. Some of my greatest memories of him are us going fishing together when I was little. He bought me my own pink princess fishing rod and he'd bait the hook for me so I could drop it in the water. Every time I caught a fish, I would get so excited and he would help me reel it in and tell me I did a good job! My dad has always been a big influence in my life and even inspired me to become an entrepreneur and start my own business in the wedding industry.

On 12/26/2024, my dad, along with my stepmom, Renee, went to a normal visit with a neurologist after my dad started experiencing speech problems and memory loss. Thinking he had suffered a stroke, they did a quick scan and sent him on his way. My parents decided to stop and get lunch before heading home since it would be a long drive back. The doctor called while they were at lunch and told them they needed to get to the ER, that my dad may have a tumor.

My dad was then admitted to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where they conducted another MRI and ran tests. It was determined he did, in fact, have a large tumor approximately the size of a baseball on his left temporal lobe that we are believing to be a Glioblastoma Multiforme. This is the most common brain tumor in adults but is very aggressive and fast growing. The neurosurgeon is planning on doing a craniotomy to remove about 95% of it Monday morning. The rest will have to be treated with a lot of chemo and radiation therapy. This is going to be a long road to recovery for him but we believe God is going to see him through this and this is not the end of his story!

My dad has always been a big part of whatever community he has lived in. From Dooly County to Warner Robins, Cartersville and Suches, my dad has touched so many lives by being the kind and Godly man he is and has always been there to lend a helping hand to others when they are in need. He has worked so hard over the years to build a life for him and his wife, Renee, but he so desperately needs to rest now.

If you know my dad, you know he is a prideful man and will not ask for help so I am fully prepared to take 100% responsibility for this. My dad has been so worried about finances and making sure bills can get paid that he has worked himself almost to death. He applied for disability amongst other things over a year ago in preparation for retirement but payment have yet to come in. Now he's in a position where he can't work and is facing many medical bills between this surgery and his long recovery. He needs help now not just for him, but also so my stepmom can be with him more to care for him.

I'm asking everyone from each community he's been a part of to please come together for my dad and do what you can. Whether it be to donate what you can or simply share this GoFundMe page, this would help my parents get through this difficult time in more ways than you could understand. This has been such a heavy burden on my dad's mind even now in this hospital awaiting surgery.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and many, many more years of living for my dad.

Love much,

Haley
