Hi. I'm Alex, Billie's grandson-in-law. On 3/25/2025, Billie Arnoth passed away unexpectedly and quickly after a short bout with influenza that was complicated by her COPD.

Billie was so, so loved by every single person she met. She was the parent to both Kari Christensen (Buckingham) and Craig Christensen, grandmother to anyone she met, and two great-grandchildren. Anyone who met Grandma Billie loved her. She considered every child she babysat her grandchild, no questions asked. She loved all of them more than anything in the world. Every time she went shopping, she would pipe up about how one of her grandkids would love this or that.

With how fast everything happened, our family was blindsided by all of this. We had no plan in place. We genuinely thought we would have more time. The illness happened so fast, and there was no written will. We are scrambling to figure out everything, and we have gotten hit with the bill for the cremation and potential memorial. We have been quoted at $2,500 for the initial cremation. From there, we want to be able to celebrate her life with family and friends, which will require a rental hall for the amount of love we share for her, and will require additional funding.

We are pooling as much money as we can, but we are finding ourselves short for the funds to cover the growing costs of cremation and memorial, plus pending hospital bills. We need additional help being able to celebrate her, and be able to give her the going away party she deserves for all the love she has given to everyone else.

If we are able to surpass the funding limits we've set, we wish to apply to the hospital bill that will be coming in the next few weeks.
