Support Bill's fight against ALS

My step-father Bill was recently diagnosed with Bulbar ALS and it is attacking his body rather quickly.  For those of you who are unsure what this disease it, it is a progressive neurodegenerative disease in which muscles waste away due to the death of the nerve cells that control them. The condition affects limb function and with his Bulbar ALS diagnosis, it is also creating difficulty for him to speak and swallow. 

Due to his condition he is unable to work, and for those of you that know my mother, she is working do diligently to make sure that he receives the best treatment possible. Bill does not have medical insurance and they just recently got approved for disability, however they will not receive that for an additional 6 months.

I am setting up this fund to help my mother and step-father with any financial help they need with making sure they have no more worries and stress. Bill is in need of some medical equipment, right now we are in need of making sure he has the communication device to ensure he can communicate with my mother and others. I would appreciate even kind words of encouragement and support to help lift up my mother and Bills' spirits and to remind them both just how strong they are.
