Support Bill Vogel with Carol's Rising Care Costs

I am setting this up to raise funds for my dad, Bill Vogel. As I’m sure most of you reading this know, we made the decision to put my mom, Carol, into memory care in April 2023. Since then, my dad has paid them over $132,000 (makes me sick!!). Her monthly “rent” is just under $8000 and will be increasing very soon.

Unfortunately, on Tuesday, September 3rd, my mom fell and broke her left hip. Because of her dementia, the doctors have advised against surgery. Her rent will be increasing due to the higher level of care she now needs. In addition to this, my dad will also have to pay medical bills from her fall.

I figured this is also a good time to recommend that you get your visits in with my mom in the near future. We don’t have a life expectancy from the doctor and obviously don’t know what the future holds, but we have seen a decline in her health and symptoms since Tuesday. She is at SpringBrook Village in La Crescent - Room 122C in the Memory Care wing. You can message any of Carol’s close friends or family to obtain the code and info for entry. Visiting hours are anytime she’s awake. She has been very sleepy the last couple of days as they have her on morphine every 3 hours, but she enjoys the company and interacts when she feels up to it.
