Support Bill Larkins' Fight Against Cancer

Family and friends, in support of Vicki and Bill Larkins, we have started a GoFundMe account to help them through the next several months of Bill's treatments and recovery.

Bill had surgery on February 27 to remove a large tumor that had invaded his parotid gland. It was a 13-hour complicated surgery. Then his healing and the wait for his diagnosis began... Bill was diagnosed with Salivary Duct Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the salivary gland.

On April 8, he had his first round of chemo, beginning a 7-week treatment plan at the Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, with radiation every day, Monday through Friday, and chemo every Tuesday. A bout of pneumonia for both him and Vicki has made for a more interesting and much more stressful month. As they always do, they have been keeping their faith and trusting God, getting through the ups and downs together!

Tuesday, 5/13, Bill will have his last round of chemo. Daily radiation will continue for the next 3 weeks. The doctor's say that he will keep feeling the affects of the radiation for several months as it is an accumulative treatment plan. This will begin the next part of Bill’s already long journey where he must rest, heal, recover, and wait. Bill will get his next scan 3 months after his last radiation.

He has been an absolute rockstar, keeping a positive outlook and smile! We all know and love Bill's smile!

At this time, it is not expected for Bill to be able to return to work until the end of July. So, we are hoping to help them with their medical, travel, and household expenses for the next several months.

Anyone that knows Bill knows he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He is an incredible, kind, caring, and all-loving man. Their FAITH is STRONG, and they trust that God is in control. They are appreciative and feel undeserving of the additional help, but we all know they would do it for us!!
