Support Bill Kiss’s Medical Recovery Journey

My father, Bill, has fallen on some very difficult and costly times. He was hospitalized just before Christmas 2024, only a few months from retirement and the age of eligibility for Medicare. He has been dealing with an acute kidney injury that requires regular dialysis. He now has a number of other concerns, including recovery from a foot surgery and grafting with long-term physical therapy required, several different infections throughout his body, and respiratory issues like pneumonia and RSV.

We found out that he makes just over the maximum amount to be eligible for Medicaid and will need to pay a very high deductible through his work insurance (Wal-Mart) before receiving any help for the costs of his current medical bills as well as those to come for long-term care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. We aren't even sure how long he will remain employed after such an extended leave and uncertainty around when he will be capable of working again, and if he were let go, he would have no insurance at all.

He is worrying himself even sicker knowing the bills that are accumulating when he should be resting and working to get better. Anything you can do to help would mean the world to our family and help alleviate the added financial stress.
