Support Bill Dutton and Family
Bill, Dad, Mr. Bill, Papa B, Mr. Dutton- anyone who knows this man, regardless of what you call him, knows him as big ole’ teddy bear. From his never-ending selfless love for his family (biological, Buckhorn and furry ) to his endless hard work and loveable nature- he is someone we all are lucky to have in our lives.
As most know, Bill was initially hospitalized on November 27th with severe Covid symptoms. Since then it has been an excruciating journey back and forth from hospitals to rehab, having not been home since Thanksgiving of 2020. While he has fully recovered from his Covid symptoms (woohoo!), the after-effects have created severe wounds that need to heal along with physical therapy to regain his strength before he can be released. He is killing it in PT and all other areas he has control over, but frankly, his body just needs more time to heal.
Unfortunately, insurance has limits of coverage, and now after 9 months, this coverage has run its course. From here on, all expenses for Bill’s care is out of pocket, averaging about $10k per month, not including one-off costs like transport that also pop up.
Current diagnosis predicts that he will be in the rehab facility for the next 2 months until the wounds have healed more, and then will need assistance in getting all of his at-home care and recovery set up. After such a long journey, the family wants to make sure Bill returns home triumphant and focused on his health- not the financial burden this sickness has put on him and his family.
All the well wishes, prayers, love, and support each of you have sent him and the family during this time has made all the difference in his recovery. Any donation, big or small, will only help in ensuring Bill is able to return to that big ole’ teddy bear we have missed this past year and ensure he and Lynne don't lose what they have worked so hard for all these years. We so greatly appreciate all of you and your contributions and can’t wait to have him come home!
All funds will go directly to the cost of the facility. If there are excess funds to that cost, it will go to cover medical bills that have already accumulated during this time.
