Support Bill and Una's Journey to Recovery

Hi, my name is Shelly and I want to tell about our friends, Bill and Una Boswell. They are a precious couple that need our help. Bill and Una have been married over 30 years. They have three grown children and grandchildren. Both have worked their whole lives and have given generously and tirelessly to others throughout their journey together.

Over this last year Bill has experienced heart issues that have landed them at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. Last Saturday, Sept. 28th Bill underwent a full Heart transplant. We are so thankful to say he did very well. Right after though, Bill experienced a set back with kidney issues that have made dialysis necessary since then. We fully believe in the healing power of Christ and know we have seen a miracle with his new heart. As you may know, transplant recipients must stay close to the hospital the first year in case there is a problem and must be back to the hospital within 30 minutes. Bill and Una live about 4 1/2 hours from UAB. Here’s where we can help. Shortly, they will be in need of an apartment close to the hospital that can be rented for the next year. Also, help with medical bills will be necessary. Una has been by Bill’s side every step of the way and is exhausted. She has been a good and faithful partner to her husband, and I know once he is through this, he will be so thankful for his devoted wife standing by him.
