::CALLING ALL FRIENDS OF BILL & AMY::

Everyone reading this knows that Bill & Amy are the kindest, most genuine, cheerful and humble couple of lovebirds you've ever met. From articulate and stimulating conversations to giggles and laughs, they are amazing friends and souls.

Although they'd never ask for help, we're here asking for them.

Bill shared his cancer diagnosis (Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the left lateral tongue) on his Facebook back in August 2022. Later that month Bill underwent surgery to remove the cancerous tumor and has since been battling to regain his speech, ongoing physical therapy, and the struggle to keep his weight & physical strength up. Bill has been able to document his ongoing journey in his own uniquely charming way on the Caring Bridge - Boldar website keeping friends and family who follow along updated & entertained.

Most recently, Bill has been experiencing an increased amount of difficulties with physical pain and swelling around his neck & throat area. In the past few days, the situation has escalated. On March 31st he was admitted to the ER, given a CT scan and released home, only to be called back to the hospital and admitted for another surgical procedure. His doctor (Dr. Build as he has so fondly nicknamed) placed a tracheostomy to secure his airway and a biopsy was taken.

Today, April 4th, the biopsy results indicated that Bill's cancer has come back.

Bill has been admitted to the hospital for treatment and is able to update the Caring Bridge website (for all of his avid readers) while the Doctors activate the treatment plan. Bill & Amy have continued to remain upbeat through every hurdle but they are exhausted. Amy has been pouring every ounce of energy into caring for and lovingly tending to Bill. As you can imagine, this journey has been physically, mentally & emotionally draining and will continue to present challenges through this next round of cancer treatment.

We have written encouraging messages, motivational texts and even supportive comments on the Caring Bridge website. Those well-wishes and nuggets of love are so deeply appreciated and contribute to lifting Bill & Amy's spirits but as a family/community/tribe, we can and should do more to support our dear friends.

With these latest updates, the importance for us to lend support to Bill & Amy has done nothing but increase.
