Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this story.
My journey into speech pathology began during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was working in early intervention therapy at the time in the Northern California region. I realized the dire need for bilingual speech therapists in the area. I have a bachelor's degree unrelated to speech pathology, therefore I am unable to qualify for FAFSA.
The goal is to complete this speech pathology assistant program, in which I am already admitted, in the next two years. This program would meet the requirements needed to continue onto graduate school. Currently, I work directly under a licensed speech pathologist providing neurodiversity-affirming therapy for individuals from 2 years to 30 years old. I am extremely excited to start this cohort and would be eternally grateful for all and any support.
