Support Big Troy's Family After His Heroic Battle

“We help each other get through this thing called life.”

 

From the moment Big Troy was diagnosed in September of 2020 with stage 4 colon cancer, he dug his heels deep into the healing journey.

 

It was an all-out, gut-wrenching, inexhaustible, 24-hour-a-day, life-consuming, heart-opening, soul-bleeding battle.

 

He fought with everything he had- every ounce of passion, every ounce of strength. He wanted to walk his daughter, Indigo, down the aisle, he wanted to see his son, Troy II, rise into a grown man, he wanted to dance with his wife, Amber, at a renewal of their vows. No one will ever know the in-depth and up-close, harrowing pain this man endured, not even those closest to the battle - his wife and children- who stood by his side through every surgery, every infection, every treatment, through all the months of chemotherapy, all the days of suffering, and all the nights of pain.

 

 

 

 

In the end, on the morning of March 22nd, 2022, he was called home- and took his final breath with Amber holding his hand.

 

On the other side of his transition, not only is there grief, sadness, and despair for the family, but in the midst of trying to keep his small business afloat during Covid, Troy's life insurance policy lapsed, and currently there are thousands of dollars in medical expenses that still remain.

 

We say this with respect and honesty: Big Troy was the main provider for his immediate family, and as their lives are reeling in the wake of their great loss, we reach out to ask for love and support.
