Support Big Moe's BBQ Sauce Legacy
Donazione protetta
Hello, my name is Paul Pritchett, most know me as "Big Moe." When speaking of sharing the story behind "Big Moe," it's more of a legacy than just a simple brand story and history story.
Our sauce finds its roots all the way back to the slave plantations of Alabama, where my great-grandmother was a permanent resident. Back in those days, she was responsible for caring for and feeding the owner and his family. Using the parts of meat that were not desired by the owner, my great-grandmother first created the sauce to not only marinate but to enhance the taste of this rejected meat. Her perseverance and belief that life was better when you ate better resulted in a special family recipe BBQ sauce.
When my great-grandmother went to meet her maker, she handed the recipe down to my grandmother, and then to my mother. Knowing how much I loved to cook and BBQ, my mother then blessed me with the recipe. We got so many requests for the sauce that we started making the sauce ourselves in our own kitchen. We bottled it one by one to make sure that the taste was to perfection. As the volume increased, we enlisted the aid of a local bottler, while continuing the quality that our dedicated customers looked for.
Today, Paul Pritchett, AKA Big Moe, a former University of Western Michigan football player, brings his proud Southern heritage and winning spirit to the family's BBQ sauce business. He believes that his one-of-a-kind BBQ can bring people together because life's better when you eat better.
We will be offering grilling (inside and out) 101 classes to the people that donate $100.00 or more. They will also be invited to our V.I.P grand opening in conjunction with the Otsego/Plainwell Chamber of Commerce. We are asking for donations to purchase and finish our building, setting up our packaging area, equipment, and other upgrades.
