Hello, friends of Deer Valley Ranch! You know it wouldn't be the same around here without our beloved friend, Big Dave. He has been faithfully working on this ranch since May 1, 1977! A real cowboy who loves a good mule, Big Dave also loves the history of this special place and all the people who have passed through the gates during his 47-year tenure.

Rain or shine, cold or snow, Big Dave never fails to light a fire, help with a chore, or whatever else needs done. When he picks up the trash, he calls out, "Thanks for the garbage!" Big Dave is a faithful man of God who never has a bad word to say about anyone or anything.

This fundraiser is so Big Dave can have a little pocket money to enjoy the holidays with his family. Please consider contributing if you've enjoyed Dave's cowboy poetry around a campfire, his patient instruction on a horseback ride, or his quiet steadiness at Deer Valley Ranch. Let's wish Big Dave a big Merry Christmas!

This fundraiser was started by Amy Lively, a private cabin owner and resident at Deer Valley Ranch. Dave has NO IDEA I'm doing this and didn't ask me to do anything; he never complains. Nearer to Christmas, I'll give him all the funds with a card that has each donor's name. Feel free to add a greeting with your donation and I'll include it!
