Support Bia Bar & Kitchen Staff!

Donation protected
Hello friends. It hurt our hearts to even consider making one of these, but I’m afraid that’s where we’re at. These are hard & scary times for so many, & we don’t know when they’re going to get less hard or less scary. We have had to close the doors to Bia due to the the COVID19 pandemic, & we’re not sure when they will open again. While we are still cooking food  for as long as we can to deliver to our neighbors during these freaky times, it is not enough to support our team of eleven. The bia crew are humbly asking for our community, our family, to give what they can, if they can to their favorite staff (very much including our badass kitchen boys Raul, Marianno, Felix, Sam, & Alberto) while we navigate through this crisis.

& to close our love letter to you, some words from the fam:

For anyone who has ever had a laugh with us, or a cry. Raised a glass, spilled a shot, maybe broke the glass. Maybe I fell into that broken glass - things have happened here! To those of you who have shared their joy with us, thank you, & thank you for being here now reading this. If you are able to donate to our little bar family, we are forever thankful. This community is such a beautiful one & I have had the most fantastic years within it. Becoming a part of Bia was a damn good idea. I LOVE YOU ALL.

As I sit here at Bia writing this down on the back page of one of our ever changing menus (pretty sure we updated this one...) I feel the need to express the sense of sanctuary and shelter I have found in this place and still feel now. Upon being hired I had just been let go from a job, broken up with, and was bearing the tedious and less than lovely pain of a freshly broken big toe. I gained a family and a community which made coming to work and seeing my friends a joy and a pleasure. So many of our beloved bars have had to say goodbye to us in the past several years and for the time being - Bia must also put a pause on our usual routine. I would like to thank all of our regulars and new clientele alike for carrying our staff through thus far and for whatever you might be able to give to us now. I speak for all of us when I say we are now and in the future, in your hands and in your debt. Let's all cheers to one more "good idea".

Hey guys, I miss you all already! This last week has been insane. So many of us separated from our friends, our family, our work. But we can get through this and hopefully, everything will be right where we left it.

Bia has been a great meeting place for the community, and we can’t wait to come back and bring some fun and laughs back into ours and all our customers lives. Bia was a place that started as a hangout for me where I could visit friends who work there, and I was so happy they wanted me to become part of the team. I honestly can’t wait to get back to work, but until then we’re hoping you can pitch in whatever you can to help us through this rough time.

One week without you all already sucks! Bia has always been the place to come together during times both happy and weird... seeing that gate close was one of the only things that made this feel real, all of the sudden. Hope to still run into your smiling faces (from 6 feet away), and that you all spread a little Bia love back into this crazy world. It's a good idea :) Please lets all keep each other safe and we'll see you back at our favorite bar soon. Cheers!
-Roddy

Bia is my home and you, our loyal customers, are my family.  It has been such a blessing knowing that everyday I open the bar I will be surrounded by people I love.  Now that we are forced to close I feel homesick. It's a scary time and it's a lonely time.  I want nothing more than to be back behind the bar pouring you drinks and sharing a laugh.  We will have the doors open again as soon as possible.  In the meantime if you can help support us by contributing to our GoFundMe I think it would be a 'good idea.'
-John Embree

Thank you again, dear family.  We love you & we appreciate you endlessly. Your kindness will be remembered. & most likely returned with some good ideas, when we open up those gates again.
